1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Buildner Minigames is operated by BUILDNER, SLU, registration number 715322-T, at Carretera Mas de Ribafeta 6, 3-1, Arinsal, La Massana, AD400, Andorra. You can contact us at contact@buildner.com.
This policy covers the Minigames collection and games including Brief Encounter, Load-Bearing Ego, Something’s Off, Site Visit, Permit Pending, Egress, The Client, Poché, Cantilever and Envelope. All ten games in this collection run on this microsite. Storage is associated with this website. Opening the collection page does not itself create every game’s guest identity or progress record.
Buildner Tools, Buildner BIM and architecturecompetitions.com have their own policies. Their cookie settings do not manage storage used by these games, and a choice on one website is not a choice on another. Read this policy alongside the Minigames Privacy Policy.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small records saved by your browser and sent with matching requests to a website. A guest cookie lets a game recognise the same browser without asking you to create an account.
Local storage keeps information in your browser for use by a particular website. Unlike a cookie, it is not automatically sent with every request. A game can read it and send a pending score to its scoring service. Local storage can remain after you close the tab and has no automatic expiry unless the game or browser provides one.
Information held in memory lasts while the page is open. It is different from a persistent cookie or saved browser record. Closing or reloading a page may discard it.
A random identifier can still be personal data when it distinguishes your browser or links your activity. Playing without an account does not mean that no personal data is processed.
3. Storage used by the collection and games
The entries below are first-party storage used by Buildner for entry acknowledgements, cookie preferences and game functions. They are not used for advertising or tracking your activity across unrelated websites. Each record is created by its corresponding action or game; they are not all created merely by reading this page.
The guest cookies are restricted to their game’s host, rather than shared across all Buildner websites. They use protections that prevent ordinary page scripts from reading them, restrict their use in cross-site requests and require a secure connection on the hosted games. Cookie identifiers point to records held by the game service; they do not contain the full score history or saved board.
Brief Encounter and Permit Pending keep their current play state in the open page. Their current game code does not create persistent game cookies or use local or session storage to save that state. Reloading or closing the page can lose the current game.
The entry and preference cookies apply to this collection’s host and are separate from game identities. The acknowledgement cookie is protected from ordinary page scripts and sent over a secure connection. The preference cookie is readable by the page so Cookie settings can show your saved choice. Neither cookie is permission to use optional tracking.
Reading this policy does not create an acknowledgement record. The policy and privacy pages remain readable before you accept the entry notice. Deleting the acknowledgement cookie does not itself delete its separate server record.
4. Analytics, advertising and consent
The Minigames application loads Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, property G-5BRMD23HY4) to measure visits, pages and which games are played. It runs from your first page view unless you switch it off, and it sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies (13 months) with a random client identifier. Advertising features and Google signals are off, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. No Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or advertising cookie is used.
Cookie settings shows necessary storage and the Analytics switch. Accept all keeps analytics on, Reject optional switches it off, Choose settings lets you set the switch yourself, and Save preferences records your choice. Switching analytics off stops measurement at once, tells Google Analytics that analytics storage is denied and removes its cookies from this browser. None of these actions accepts the game terms for you.
You can close the cookie panel without saving a choice; analytics then stays on until you make one. The separate entry acknowledgement may still be required before you enter the collection or its integrated game; it is not an optional-tracking consent.
Storage that qualifies as strictly necessary for a service you request may be used without an optional-tracking opt-in. That exemption depends on its purpose and use; being first-party or useful to us does not by itself make storage necessary.
Google Analytics runs before you make a choice, and switching it off is as easy as leaving it on: one button in Cookie settings, remembered for 180 days. If another optional service is introduced, we will first update the inventory with the provider, purpose and duration, and ask again. Continuing to browse, playing a game or accepting terms is not consent to advertising.
5. Cookie settings and browser controls
Select Cookie settings in the footer to review or change the saved preference for this browser and website. Your choice is remembered for 180 days from the last save; a new device, a different website address or cleared site data may require another choice. Where future optional services rely on consent, these controls will also let you withdraw it for future collection.
You can inspect, block or delete cookies and other site data through your browser’s privacy or website-data settings. Select the address of the game you used. If games open on different website addresses, you may need to manage each address separately.
- Delete an entry or preference cookie: Removing
bn_games_consentbrings back the entry acknowledgement. Blocking it prevents the website from remembering your acceptance and admitting you to protected collection pages. Removingbn_games_privacyforgets your saved cookie-panel choice; optional services remain off. - Delete a guest cookie: Site Visit or Something’s Off may treat you as a new guest. Your existing progress or player history may no longer be accessible from that browser, and recovery may not be possible without an account.
- Delete local storage: A locally remembered best result or an unsent score may be lost. Wait for a score to be confirmed as saved before clearing site data if you want it retained in the online rankings.
- Block storage: Playing may still be possible, but remembering a guest, restoring progress or retrying a score after closing the page may fail. Keep the game open if it warns that an unsaved result is held only in the current page.
- Use private browsing or another device: The game may create a separate guest, and your existing progress will not automatically follow you. Private browsing can remove site data when the private session ends.
Browser controls generally cover more than cookies alone. To remove a game’s local storage, use the control for that website’s stored data rather than assuming that clearing cookies will remove every saved item.
Clearing a cookie or a local record does not automatically delete information already saved on our servers, including scores, progress or reports. Some existing results may remain visible in rankings. Contact contact@buildner.com for a personal-data request and identify the game concerned. Do not send us the contents of a guest cookie or other access token.
6. Online features, reports and hosting
Saving or retrieving progress, submitting a score and loading rankings involve requests to a game service. These requests can contain game information and a guest identifier where that game uses one. Blocking optional tracking would not prevent the data transmission needed for a requested online game function.
The collection’s Report a mistake feature keeps a limited recent technical-error log in the page’s memory. It sends a report only when you submit it. The report can include your optional note, page address, time, browser and device details, and recent technical errors. It does not create a separate report-tracking cookie. The Privacy Policy explains the handling of submitted reports.
Private previews may also require you to sign in to the hosting platform. Any storage used for that platform’s sign-in or access controls is separate from the Buildner game records listed above and is described by the platform’s own notices. The table is an inventory of the game application’s storage, not an inventory of every cookie belonging to your browser or hosting-platform account.
Links to Buildner Tools, Buildner BIM, competitions or other services take you to websites with their own storage practices. This page does not control their cookies.
7. Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the technologies, purposes or game features change. The date at the top identifies this version. A policy update alone does not authorise new processing that requires consent.
For questions about cookies, browser storage or your personal data, email contact@buildner.com or write to BUILDNER, SLU, Carretera Mas de Ribafeta 6, 3-1, Arinsal, La Massana, AD400, Andorra. Please identify Buildner Minigames and the game or website address concerned.
